Former Kosovo Foreign Minister, Enver Hoxhaj, one of the closest collaborators of former President Hashim Thaçi and former Parliament Speaker Kadri Veseli, spoke directly from The Hague, stating that the narrative regarding organ trafficking, raised following the Dick Marty report, was never mentioned throughout the trial of former KLA leaders, describing it as part of a hybrid campaign against Kosovo.

According to Hoxhaj, Kosovo institutions have maintained a clear position since the report’s publication.

“At the time the Dick Marty report was published, we had a stance that it was nothing more than a hybrid battle by Russia and Serbia against Kosovo,” he said.

He added that the very establishment of the court was based on the argument that the report’s claims should be addressed to “clear” Kosovo’s image.

“This Court was built on a Western political argument, by our partners, that the dark clouds created by the Dick Marty report should be removed from Kosovo’s sky.”

However, he noted that over the past five years, no concrete evidence or charges regarding organ trafficking have been presented.

“Today, we did not hear anything, and over the last five years, nothing about organ trafficking has been mentioned by anyone.”

Hoxhaj recalled that the entire process began following an initiative in the Council of Europe in 2010, which later became the basis for establishing the court.

“Every citizen of Kosovo knows what was stated in December 2010, when a Russian Duma deputy initiated a resolution in the Council of Europe, and this resolution was adopted. From that resolution, the narrative arose that a court should handle these claims, and now, after five years, none of these allegations have been heard.”

In conclusion, he described the entire matter as a disinformation campaign that, according to him, also ensnared the West.

“This means it was a battle into which even the West fell. It must be said clearly: it was a battle of disinformation, a battle of hybrid warfare, targeting Kosovo after we had won at the International Court of Justice, which is also here in The Hague.”

These statements were made during the program Rubikon from The Hague, at a time when the trials of former KLA leaders are approaching their final phase.
