Hoxhaj Meets Deputy Prime Minister of Kurdistan: Received Support for Kosovo’s Recognition

Former Foreign Minister of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, has met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Kurdistan in Iraq, Qubad Talabani.

In a Facebook post, Hoxhaj stated that he received support from Talabani to push forward the recognition of Kosovo’s independence.

He also announced that the Deputy Prime Minister of Kurdistan may soon visit Kosovo.

“It was a pleasure to meet Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of Kurdistan in Iraq. We discussed the long struggle of our peoples for freedom, our shared experience of confronting genocide, and the need for closer political, economic, and cultural cooperation between our nations. He expressed support for advancing the recognition of Kosovo’s independence and also promised to visit Kosovo in the near future,” Hoxhaj wrote.
