The Kosovo Democratic Institute (IKD) has released a list of mayoral candidates who spent the most on social media campaign advertising ahead of the upcoming local elections.
According to the IKD report, the list is topped by Uran Ismaili, the PDK candidate for Mayor of Prishtina, who has so far spent €6,318 on social media campaigns.
In second place is Alban Hyseni, the LVV candidate for Mayor of Gjilan, with €2,264 spent, followed by Besa Shahini, the PSD candidate for Mayor of Prishtina, who has spent €1,828.
The current Mayor of Prishtina, and LDK candidate, Përparim Rama, has spent €1,593 on social media ads, while the top five is rounded out by Zafir Berisha from BDP, with €808 in campaign spending.
It’s worth noting that local elections in Kosovo will be held on October 12.
