The National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (IKSHPK) has called on citizens to take extra precautions and receive the seasonal flu vaccine, emphasizing it as the most effective measure to prevent the disease and its complications.

In a Facebook post, IKSHPK noted that recent weeks have seen a significant increase in flu and respiratory infection cases, accompanied by a rise in individuals seeking medical care and hospitalization.

“Vaccination helps reduce the risk of severe forms of the illness and protects the most vulnerable groups, including the elderly, children, people with chronic illnesses, and anyone aged six months and older who wishes to protect themselves from flu and its complications,” the institute stated.

IKSHPK encouraged citizens to visit family medicine centers with their relatives to get vaccinated, emphasizing that prevention is the most important step in safeguarding public health.
