Hekuran Murati, the acting Minister of Finance, Labor, and Transfers, announced that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has followed the World Bank in removing Kosovo from its list of Fragile and Conflict-Affected States.
According to Murati, this decision “seals the institutional stability and economic resilience of the country.”
“After the World Bank took this action last week, yesterday we received notification from the International Monetary Fund about Kosovo’s removal from the list of Fragile and Conflict-Affected States that the IMF compiles,” Murati wrote.
He emphasized that “This is long-awaited news and once again seals the institutional stability and economic resilience of the country, and at the same time is an acknowledgment of the work done so far by our institutions.”
