The Director of the Department of Forensic Laboratories at the Institute of Forensic Medicine, Agron Thaqi, has announced that the body of Faton Hajrizit has now been identified by his family.
“Last night, around 1 AM, the lifeless body of Faton Hajrizit was received. We are declaring this following the order from the Prosecutor’s Office, specifically from the responsible prosecutor. It was identified by the family of the deceased in the presence of the attending physician,” Thaqi stated.
He explained that a three-member commission of forensic experts was formed to conduct the autopsy at the Institute.
“Due to the sensitivity of the case and the circumstances, we have consulted with the General Director and formed a three-member commission of forensic experts to carry out the autopsy, which will begin around 1 PM in the presence of the Prosecutor and family members. The autopsy report will determine the details, and the body will be returned to the family after the autopsy,” he added, according to EO.
