The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has congratulated Albania on the opening of the first chapter of its membership negotiations with the EU.
In a post on “X,” she stated that Albania, Kosovo, and other democratic countries in the region should continue to advance on their paths toward EU membership.
“Congratulations to Albania on achieving an important moment in its journey toward EU membership! The opening of the EU accession chapters brings Albania one step closer to a brighter and more prosperous future for all its citizens. Albania, Kosovo, and other democratic countries in our region must continue to progress on their paths toward the EU, which is essential for ensuring lasting peace and stability—not only for the region but for all of Europe,” reads the full post by Osmani.
