The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dačić, said that today at 10:00 AM he has scheduled a meeting of the Government of Serbia, where a team will be formed to “fight” against the admission of Kosovo to the Council of Europe.

Dačić announced this in an appearance on RTS, where he said that he would lead that team together with the director of the so-called Office for Kosovo in the Serbian government, Petar Petković, reports Tanjug.

The “urgent formation” of this team was requested yesterday by the Serbian president Aleksandar Vučić in an extraordinary session of the Government of Serbia, admitting that the chances of doing this are small.

“I ask that you urgently form a team, which will deal with it and will start to fight. Our chances are small, minimal, but that does not mean that we should raise our hands up, complain and cry. Like a team that was formed for the United Nations and Srebrenica. And I will be ready, if necessary, to go spend seven days there, no matter how long, and fight for our country and the interests of our people as a whole. For this reason, I am asking the government to urgently form its team, and people from my cabinet can be there to help in any way,” Vučić said yesterday.
