In the last few hours, President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani encountered a dangerous and unacceptable situation at Skopje Airport.
As Osmani was preparing for an international trip, airport security attempted to open her suitcase—an action that President Osmani firmly opposed.
Sources indicate that the President immediately contacted the Speaker of the Assembly of North Macedonia, Afrim Gashi, to address the situation.
Upon receiving the call, Gashi swiftly dispatched his security team to the airport to clarify the incident.
Reports from Indeksonline reveal that there was a heated verbal exchange between Gashi’s security team and the airport security, and at one point, both sides even drew their weapons.
This blatant and dangerous action led to a delay of more than an hour before President Osmani was able to continue her journey. Such incidents are intolerable and must be condemned in the strongest terms.
