The inaugural session in North Mitrovica did not pass without clashes between the municipal assembly members, reports RKS News.

Albanian assembly member Aida Doli responded to Serbian assembly member Marko Jakshiq after he spoke and complained about the police presence.

Doli stated that there is no need to feel afraid and that Jakshiq’s claims about the police presence are not accurate.

“I don’t see any police in this hall, and there is no need for the speaker to feel threatened,” she said.

Jakshiq, in his speech, had said that he feels unsafe due to the police presence.
