The Acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, has announced the inauguration of the new Police Station in Izvor, Zveçan.
In a Facebook post, Sveçla stated that the Rapid Border Intervention Unit will be deployed at this station, located in the border zone with Serbia.
“In the border zone with Serbia, the Rapid Border Intervention Unit will operate from this police station. Fully equipped and operational, it will protect the border and prevent illegal activities that threaten the security of our Republic. We will continue our unwavering support for the Kosovo Police, as the guarantee of a secure Kosovo with full sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Sveçla wrote.
