A minor incident occurred at the “Agim Ramadani” school in Zhegër during midday while the voting process was underway in Kosovo’s extraordinary parliamentary elections.
According to KALLXO.com, there were no physical altercations, but a voter and the election commission engaged in heated exchanges.
The on-duty prosecutor from the Gjilan Prosecutor’s Office was present at the school following the report of the incident. She met with the school principal, Rrahman Agushi, to address the situation. In an interview with KALLXO.com, Principal Agushi confirmed that there were only raised voices between the voter and the commission, and no physical confrontation occurred.
This election marks the fourth time Kosovars are voting this year, including two rounds of local elections. According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), there are 2,076,290 registered voters eligible to participate in this process. Within Kosovo, 1,999,204 voters are registered at polling stations, while 77,086 voters are registered to vote abroad. This list includes 7,192 more voters compared to the local elections held on October 12, 2025.
The voting process inside Kosovo is taking place across 948 polling centers with a total of 2,614 voting booths, including 910 centers with 2,557 booths for regular voting and 38 centers with 57 booths to enable conditional voting. Voting at 29 diplomatic missions in 18 countries was conducted a day earlier, on December 27.
