The Special Prosecutor’s Office has announced that it has filed an indictment against M.D. for the criminal offenses of “Assault on a Public Official” and “Participation in a Crowd Committing a Criminal Offense and Hooliganism.”
He is suspected of attacking and threatening KFOR soldiers and members of the Kosovo Police on May 29, 2023, in Zvecan.
“After securing and analyzing both personal and material evidence, it has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant, M.D., on May 29, 2023, near the Zvečan Municipal building, in cooperation and coordination with other defendants of Serbian nationality from Kosovo and Serbia, using violence, weapons, and other heavy objects, attacked and seriously threatened KFOR peacekeeping soldiers and members of the Kosovo Police, causing bodily harm and material damage.”
“Additionally, the prosecutor from the Special Prosecutor’s Office has requested the Court to convict the defendant and sentence him according to the law, as well as to extend his detention until the completion of this criminal case.”
