The Court of Appeals has upheld the decision of the Basic Court in Pristina, which confirmed the indictment against the accused in the “Banjska” case, reports RKS NEWS.
Additionally, this court ruled to reject as unfounded the appeals of the defense attorneys of the accused Vladimir Toliq, Dushan Maksimovic, and Blagoje Spasojevic.
“The Court of Appeals evaluated the contested decision based on the appeal claims, as well as ex officio with respect to essential violations of procedural provisions. It concluded that there were no essential violations of criminal procedural provisions or other violations that would warrant the annulment of the decision. The first-instance court provided sufficient and sound reasons for rejecting the requests to dismiss the indictment and objections to the evidence presented by the defense,” said the Court of Appeals’ announcement.
In the “Banjska” case, 45 individuals are accused of committing criminal acts including “Terrorist acts,” “Serious crimes against the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo,” “Facilitation and financing of terrorism,” and “Money laundering.”
