INTERPOL-Wanted Suspect Arrested on Warrant Issued by German Authorities

Today, the Kosovo Police—specifically officers from the Directorate for International Police Cooperation (ILECU), in close cooperation and coordination with the South Pristina Police Station—carried out the arrest of a foreign national.

According to the Police, “the suspect was internationally wanted through INTERPOL, based on an international arrest warrant issued by the competent authorities of the Federal Republic of Germany, for the criminal offense of ‘repeated and profit-driven trafficking of narcotic drugs,’ an offense sanctioned under German criminal legislation.”

By order of the on-duty prosecutor, the arrested individual has been placed in police detention for 48 hours, for the purpose of continuing further legal procedures, in accordance with the applicable legislation, the statement continues.
