Investigation of Three Graçanica Municipality Officials, €25,000 Seized

The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Pristina has launched an investigation against three officials from the Graçanica Municipality for alleged crimes of “Abuse of Official Position or Authority” and “Taking Bribes.” As part of the investigation, €25,000 believed to be obtained through misuse of office has been seized.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, on December 24, 2024, special investigative measures were initiated following a report by the Kosovo Police’s Anti-Money Laundering Unit. The initial investigation focused on suspects with initials Z.M. and D.F., later expanding to include a third suspect, V.S.

During the operation, the Prosecutor’s Office, in collaboration with the Kosovo Police, conducted tactical and operational actions, escorting several individuals for questioning and seizing €25,000 as evidence. The investigation has been extended to include searches and temporary seizure of assets related to the case.

The Prosecutor’s Office has ordered special investigative measures and authorized the temporary seizure of evidence and specified assets belonging to all suspects, who are accused of violating Articles 414 and 421 of the Kosovo Criminal Code.
