Iran has appointed Brigadier General Majid Khadami as the new head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence unit following the killing of Mohammad Kazemi and two other generals in an Israeli strike on Sunday, Iran’s official news agency IRNA reported, according to Rks News.
General Mohammad Kazemi, along with Hassan Mohaghegh and Mohsen Bagheri, were killed in the attack that targeted the Iranian intelligence command center.
The commander of the IRGC, General Mohammad Pakpour, praised the service of the slain commanders and vowed “gates of hell” and “devastating consequences” in retaliation against Israel for the strikes.
