More than 400 people have died and 3,056 have been injured in Iran since Israeli attacks began, according to Hossein Kermanpour, spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Health.
Kermanpour stated that 54 of the deceased were women and children, and five were healthcare workers, adding that “the majority of victims and injured are civilians,” BBC reported.
This is the first official casualty toll released since June 15, when authorities reported 224 deaths and over 1,200 injured. Previously, the Noor news agency stated that at least 430 people had died and 3,500 were injured in Iran over the past nine days.
