Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, stated in an interview with the BBC that Tehran is seeking clear guarantees from the United States that no further attacks will be carried out against Iran before it agrees to resume diplomatic talks on its nuclear program, RKS News reports.

He emphasized that the Trump administration has not clarified its position regarding the continuation of strikes during the negotiation process.

The Israeli attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities and military infrastructure in June have led to the suspension of the sixth round of indirect talks in Muscat.

Takht-Ravanchi reiterated that Iran will continue enriching uranium for peaceful purposes, rejecting accusations of seeking nuclear weapons. He described any demand for a total halt to enrichment as a “law of the jungle.”
