Iranian state media has rejected Israeli accusations that Tehran launched rockets toward Israel after the ceasefire came into effect.

Earlier, the Israeli military claimed it had detected rocket fire from Iran following the official start of the ceasefire, prompting activation of air defense systems and urgent warnings for citizens to seek shelter until further notice.

In response to the alleged breach, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said he had instructed the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to “respond forcefully” with intensive strikes on regime targets in the heart of Tehran.

Despite the Iranian denial, tensions between the two countries remain extremely high, with both sides exchanging accusations that raise fears of renewed escalation in the already volatile Middle East.
