Iranian news agencies Tasnim and Fars report that Mohammad Amin Mahdavi Shayesteh has been hanged after being convicted of collaborating with the Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad.

Shayesteh, described by Tasnim as the “head of a Mossad-linked cyber team,” was arrested in late 2023 and subsequently convicted of espionage.

Since the beginning of Israeli attacks on Iran on June 13, Iranian authorities have executed at least three individuals convicted of spying for Israel, further escalating tensions between the two countries.
