Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has vehemently condemned the United States’ airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, warning of a harsh response that “will cause deep regret” for Washington and its allies.
In a statement released by Iran’s state news agency Tasnim, the IRGC declared that the US action constitutes “direct aggression” and grants Iran the legitimate right to self-defense, including measures beyond the expectations of the “aggressive coalition.”
“We are not intimidated by the noise of Trump and the criminal gangs in Washington and Tel Aviv,” the statement asserted. The IRGC also underlined its readiness for a full-scale hybrid war and stated that its network of Iran-backed proxies in the region is prepared for action.
The US strikes occurred late Saturday, targeting three significant nuclear centers: Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. Iran has warned of immediate consequences following this act, escalating concerns about a dangerous new surge in Middle East tensions.
