The Israeli military announced that Iran has launched a new wave of missiles towards Israeli territory, in what appears to be a response to recent American attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities.
“A short while ago, the IDF identified missiles launched from Iran towards the territory of the State of Israel,” read a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
According to the IDF, defense systems have been activated to intercept the threat, and citizens have been instructed to seek shelter in safe areas and remain there until further notice.
This marks the first wave of missiles since the United States confirmed striking several nuclear targets in Iran, significantly escalating tensions in the region.
