United Arab Emirates reported new Iranian missile and drone attacks across several parts of the country on Tuesday afternoon.

According to official authorities, air defense systems are currently intercepting incoming threats from Iran.

“The Ministry of Defense confirms that the sounds heard in different parts of the country are due to the interception of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones by the UAE’s air defense systems,” the ministry said in a statement.

A day earlier, the UAE reported that four Iranian drones were launched toward the country, none of which hit their targets—three were shot down and one fell into the sea.

Shortly afterward, reports emerged of a “large fire” breaking out at an oil facility in Fujairah following a drone strike.

Reports indicate that three Indian nationals were injured and are currently hospitalized, though they are not in life-threatening condition.
