The largest oil port and main storage hub in the United Arab Emirates, Fujairah, along with Dubai International Airport, were targeted in new drone attacks as Iran continues to strike transport and energy infrastructure across the Persian Gulf.

Flights were temporarily suspended on Monday after a fire broke out near Dubai International Airport following a drone-related incident.

Another fire erupted at the strategic port and industrial zone in Fujairah, one of the largest oil storage hubs in the region, after a drone strike hit the area.

Meanwhile, a missile strike on a vehicle on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi killed a Palestinian national, according to the city’s media office. The attack occurred in the Al Bahia area.

According to the UAE Ministry of Defence, air defense systems intercepted six ballistic missiles and 21 drones on Monday.

Authorities say Iran has launched more than 1,900 missiles and drones toward the UAE since the start of the war involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.
