The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran issued a new warning on Wednesday, stating that Iran’s enemies should “expect a powerful response” from its armed forces following an attack it claimed targeted Iranian oil and energy infrastructure.

The warning comes after Tehran accused the United States and Israel of striking oil and natural gas facilities in Iran, including the South Pars natural gas field, the largest in the world.

If confirmed, this would mark the first attack on oil and gas facilities in the ongoing conflict.

An Israeli official told CNN that Israel’s strike on the South Pars facility was carried out in coordination with the United States.

The Iranian Guards emphasized that a “criminal enemy” has “violated parts of Iran’s oil and energy infrastructure,” threatening retaliation if energy facilities—including oil and gas—are targeted again.

They also called for the evacuation of residents and workers from oil facilities in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
