Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has welcomed “any initiative that could bring a complete end to this war,” adding that the conflict has been “imposed” on his country.
Araghchi told Japanese media outlet Kyodo that Iran is “ready to listen to and consider such proposals.”
However, he added that although some countries are seeking a resolution to the conflict in the Middle East, “it does not appear that the United States is prepared to stop its aggression.”
Araghchi stated that Iran is not seeking a ceasefire, but rather aims for “a complete, comprehensive, and lasting end to the war.”
He also shared the interview on his Telegram account, while a transcript was published by the Mehr News Agency, which is affiliated with the Islamic Development Organization.
