Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has ordered the suspension of his country’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) following U.S. airstrikes that targeted Iran’s most critical nuclear facilities.

According to state-run online media reports, President Pezeshkian’s decision was made public on Wednesday. The move follows the approval of a parliamentary bill suspending cooperation, which was also endorsed by Iran’s constitutional oversight body, AP reports.

It remains unclear what this development will mean for the UN’s nuclear watchdog. The Vienna-based agency has yet to respond to requests for comment.
