Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday evening outlined three specific demands aimed at ending the ongoing conflict, marking the first time he has publicly specified conditions.

According to Pezeshkian, the path to peace requires recognition of Iran’s legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and strong international guarantees against future aggression.

“The only way to end this war—ignited by the Zionist regime and the United States—is the recognition of Iran’s legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and strong international guarantees against future aggression,” he stated in a post on X.

Diplomatic Engagements

While Iran continues retaliatory actions against regional economic and military targets, the president noted that he had spoken with leaders from Russia and Pakistan to reaffirm Iran’s commitment to peace.

Separately, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif traveled to Saudi Arabia on Thursday for a brief visit, according to his office.

These developments suggest that Iran is seeking a diplomatic framework to formally end hostilities while ensuring security guarantees, even as tensions in the region remain high.
