The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) spokesperson, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, stated that Iran maintains complete control over the Strait of Hormuz, warning that foreign powers have no right to intervene in the region.

In a recent statement, Zolfaghari emphasized that Tehran holds full authority and initiative in the Persian Gulf and Oman territorial waters, exercising control over the strait through “intelligence and exceptional power.”

He added that due to Iran’s sovereignty and military capabilities, deploying naval mines in the Persian Gulf is unnecessary. “If needed, we will use any means to ensure security,” he said.

Zolfaghari further claimed that Iranian armed forces, in cooperation with regional countries, are capable of maintaining stability and security, while criticizing the presence of outside actors, noting they “have no right to interfere.”

The statement comes amid ongoing tensions in one of the world’s most strategic maritime routes for energy transport, raising concerns about regional security and stability.
