Iraq’s Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Fuad Hussein, has urged Iran to continue its talks with the United States in the wake of Israel’s recent strikes on Iranian territory.
This appeal was conveyed in a statement issued by Iraq’s Foreign Ministry, as reported by CNN.
“Minister Hussein expressed Iraq’s solidarity with the Iranian government and people in facing this dangerous escalation,” the statement read.
Hussein “called on the Iranian side to continue pursuing dialogue with the United States through Oman’s mediation, in order to reach solutions that would help reduce tensions and increase security and stability in the region.”
