Tariq Ramadan has been found guilty of raping three women and sentenced to 18 years in prison by a criminal court in Paris.
The court emphasized the “extreme severity of the acts” and ordered a permanent ban preventing Ramadan from returning to France after serving his sentence.
According to testimonies presented during the trial, the victims described relationships that initially appeared consensual but later turned into traumatic and violent situations.
