The Israeli military announced on Friday that 107 trucks carrying humanitarian aid entered the Gaza Strip on Thursday. These supplies, provided by the UN and other international organizations, include flour, food, and medicine.
However, the United Nations has not yet confirmed this figure, and it remains unclear how much of the aid has actually reached Palestinian civilians.
Meanwhile, aid is beginning to arrive in some of the most affected and vulnerable areas of Gaza, but humanitarian organizations say this is far from sufficient to address the crisis faced by over 2.1 million residents.
Humanitarian conditions have severely deteriorated. Doctors in Gaza have warned about the rapid spread of malnutrition throughout the territory.
Before the conflict, Gaza received about 500 aid trucks daily. But after Israel imposed a total blockade in early March, aid deliveries have almost completely stopped, causing a deepening crisis.
International organizations have described this blockade as collective punishment of the civilian population and a violation of international law. Israel states that the measure is aimed at increasing pressure on Hamas to release hostages.
