The Government of Israel has officially confirmed its agreement to U.S. President Donald Trump’s ceasefire proposal with Iran.
In a statement released today, the Israeli government said:
“Israel will respond forcefully if the ceasefire is broken.”
The statement explained that Israel agreed to the ceasefire after achieving its key objectives in the strikes against Iran.
According to the declaration, Israel has eliminated “the dual existential threat” posed by Iran’s nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs.
The statement also claimed that Israel has “inflicted heavy damage on the Iranian military leadership and destroyed dozens of key government targets.”
Furthermore, Israeli forces reportedly “struck major government targets in the heart of Tehran,” eliminated “hundreds of Basij operatives”—a paramilitary force often used by Iran’s regime to suppress protests—and “neutralized another senior nuclear scientist.”
“Israel thanks President Trump and the United States for their support in defense and their role in eliminating the Iranian nuclear threat,” the statement concluded.
