Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have conducted airstrikes against more than 100 targets across the Gaza Strip in the last day, targeting Hamas buildings, rocket launchers, tunnels, and other infrastructure. According to Gaza’s health ministry, at least 60 people were killed in these attacks.

On Saturday, six armed Palestinian men guarding humanitarian aid trucks were killed in an Israeli drone strike. While Israel alleges these men were Hamas members, the group denies this, stating they were aid security personnel performing humanitarian duties.

Since Israel eased its aid blockade earlier this week, it reports that 388 aid trucks have entered Gaza, although Palestinian groups say only 119 trucks have crossed.

Separately, an Associated Press report cites testimonies from Palestinians and Israeli soldiers claiming Israeli forces have used Palestinian detainees as human shields during operations. Israel denies these accusations but states it forbids such practices and is investigating reported cases.

The ongoing conflict began after Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7, 2023, killing around 1,200 civilians and taking hostages. Israeli military responses have resulted in over 53,700 Palestinian deaths, according to Gaza health authorities.
