Iranian state media has confirmed that another top nuclear scientist has been killed in Israeli airstrikes, CNN reported on Tuesday.

Mohammad Reza Seddighi Saber, a senior figure in Iran’s nuclear weapons program, was reportedly killed in recent Israeli air raids north of Tehran, according to Press TV.

Over the past 12 days, Israel has claimed responsibility for the targeted killing of several high-ranking Iranian nuclear scientists, as part of a broad military campaign aimed at crippling Iran’s nuclear weapons infrastructure, senior military command, and missile bases.

A Monday report by the Council on Foreign Relations stated that at least 10 Iranian nuclear scientists have been killed in these strikes. Among them were Fereydoon Abbasi, former head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, and Amir Hossein Feqhi, its former deputy director.

These assassinations mark a significant escalation in the covert war between the two nations, with the goal of dismantling Iran’s capacity to build nuclear weapons.
