Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed the killing of Ali Yosef Kharshi, personal secretary and close aide to Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem, in a targeted strike in Beirut, Lebanon.
According to the Israeli military, Kharshi served as Qassem’s personal advisor and played a key role in managing his office and security.
Hezbollah has not yet issued an official statement regarding Kharshi’s death. The attack comes amid escalating Israeli military operations targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in Lebanon.
The incident occurs in a broader regional context of heightened tensions, following drone attacks on Saudi oil infrastructure and ongoing negotiations over ceasefire agreements between the United States and Iran.
