The Israeli military announced today that it had killed a fighter from Iran’s elite Quds Force.
The individual, identified as a member of the special foreign operations wing of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was killed during an operation in Lebanon.
Israel accuses the Quds Force of planning attacks against Israeli territory from Syria and Lebanon.
“Hussein Mahmoud Marsad al-Jawari played a central role in the Quds Force’s operational Unit 840 and in recent years participated in planning terrorist attacks against the State of Israel from Syria and Lebanon,” the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement.
