The BBC is reporting that Israel has launched a new wave of attacks against Iran. The Israeli Air Force posted on platform X that it is continuing to target missile launchers and infrastructure in Iran.

Escalating Conflict Between Israel and Iran

The latest strikes come after Israel undertook unprecedented attacks against Iran, targeting its nuclear program and military leaders in an operation that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated would last for many days. The Israeli military announced it had used 200 fighter jets. In retaliation, Iran launched over 100 drones towards Israeli territory, according to the Israeli army.

U.S. President Donald Trump told CNN that the U.S. “naturally” supports Israel and called the overnight attack on Iran “a very successful attack.” Trump warned Iran earlier today to accept a nuclear deal “before there is nothing left,” suggesting that future Israeli attacks on the country could be “even more brutal.”

According to information available so far, four key Iranian figures reportedly killed in Israel’s attack are: Major General Hossein Salami – Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Mohammad Bagheri – Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Ali Shamkhani – Former Senior National Security Advisor, and Amir Ali Hajizadeh – Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force.

Netanyahu declared that “Operation Rising Lion” struck the main enrichment facility in Natanz, nuclear scientists, and what he called the “heart of Iran’s ballistic missile program.” According to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, six nuclear scientists were killed.
