Israeli airstrikes targeted the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, on Sunday, in retaliation for Houthi rockets launched toward Israel. Houthi-affiliated media reported that the attack killed at least two people and injured five others.
These strikes are the latest in a series of direct attacks and counterattacks between Israel and Houthi militants in Yemen, extending more than a year as part of the broader conflict linked to the war in Gaza.
The Israeli military stated that the targets included a military complex housing the presidential palace, two power plants, and a fuel storage facility, according to international media reports.
The Saba news agency, controlled by the Houthis, confirmed that at least two people were killed and five wounded in the strikes.
