At least seven members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and two recruits were killed in Israeli airstrikes today targeting military facilities in Yazd province, central Iran, according to the Al-Ghadir unit of the IRGC.
The report, shared by the IRGC-affiliated Tasnim News Agency, states that several others were also injured in the strikes.
Earlier in the day, the IRGC released a statement via Mehr News Agency on Telegram, confirming that two military sites had been hit by Israeli missiles in the province.
Since June 13, Israel claims to have eliminated several senior IRGC figures, including:
Hossein Salami – Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC
Amir Ali Hajizadeh – Head of the IRGC Aerospace Force
Mohammad Kazemi – Chief of IRGC Intelligence
This is part of a widening military confrontation between Iran and Israel that has escalated dramatically in recent days, with targeted assassinations and strategic bombings on both sides.
