Soldiers from the Italian Regional Command West (RC-W) of NATO’s KFOR mission, together with Hungarian trainers from the KFOR Tactical Reserve Battalion (KTRBN), recently carried out intensive training exercises at Novo Selo Camp.

The training focused on Crowd and Riot Control (CRC) as well as fire response scenarios, aiming to enhance the operational readiness and psychological resilience of the troops.

Participants were exposed to heat and flames generated by incendiary devices, improving their capacity to maintain calm and effective responses under stressful and hazardous conditions, according to an official statement published on Facebook.

The exercises were deemed essential to integrate crowd control skills with the ability to act effectively in complex situations involving fire and civil unrest.

KFOR reiterated its commitment to executing its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999), contributing to a safe and secure environment for all communities in Kosovo and ensuring freedom of movement in an impartial manner. The mission operates in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and EULEX.
