The Embassy of Italy in Pristina has expressed regret regarding the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) not to certify the Serbian List for the early general elections scheduled for December 28.
In its statement, the Embassy emphasized “the importance of ensuring a fully democratic electoral process, where all political forces have the opportunity to participate in a fair and inclusive manner.”
This marks the third time the CEC has initially refused to certify this party, having acted similarly during the regular parliamentary elections on February 9 and the local elections on October 12.
In both previous instances, the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP) overturned the CEC’s decision.
