During Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s visit to Astana, Italy and Kazakhstan signed a series of agreements totaling €4 billion, marking a major step in deepening bilateral ties. The agreements cover strategic sectors such as oil and gas, renewable energy, and water management, Rks News reports.
Meloni emphasized that the visit was not merely ceremonial but a vital step toward strengthening relations between Italy and Central Asia.
She highlighted that Italy was the first European Union country to invest in building strong ties with the region, laying the groundwork for a stable platform for exchanging ideas and cooperation.
The Italian prime minister also noted that the EU–Central Asia Summit held in April further enhanced collaboration between the two regions.
