The Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs, Ivica Dačić, departed for an official visit to China on Saturday.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that Dačić will participate in the Global Forum on Cooperation and Public Security in Lianyungang, where he will discuss matters with China’s Minister of Public Security, Wang Xiaohong.

He is also expected to visit Serbian police officers who are working alongside Chinese officers on joint patrols.

In the past three years, Chinese and Serbian police officers have patrolled in Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Smederevo, the cities most frequently visited by Chinese tourists in Serbia.

Serbia has strengthened its relations with China since the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) led by President Aleksandar Vučić came to power in 2012.
