Former U.S. diplomat James Rubin, who served under President Bill Clinton, announced that he will appear next week at the Kosovo Special Court to testify in defense of former President Hashim Thaçi.
Rubin confirmed this during an interview with journalist Christine Amanpour, when asked about his upcoming activities in Europe.
“I will be in Europe next week to provide testimony at the Special Tribunal for War Crimes in Kosovo. As someone who assisted Madeleine Albright and was involved in the establishment of the initial War Crimes Tribunal, I will be revisiting the past and have much more to share next week,” Rubin stated.
The defense witness testimonies are scheduled to begin on September 15, 2025.
