The Commander of the Kosovo Security Force (FSK), Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, held an official meeting with Director of the U.S. National Guard Bureau, Lieutenant General Jonathan M. Stubbs, accompanied by Major General Levon E. Cumpton and his delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the excellent cooperation between the FSK and the U.S. National Guard, particularly with the Iowa National Guard.
Gen. Jashari also expressed gratitude for the ongoing support of the United States for the Kosovo Security Force, emphasizing that this partnership is essential for the development and modernization of the FSK.
The parties agreed that the State Partnership Program (SPP) between the Iowa National Guard and the FSK serves as a successful example of joint achievements in various activities.
In conclusion, both generals highlighted that deepening cooperation is vital for enhancing interoperability of their forces. They also stressed the need for continued U.S. support to achieve Kosovo’s strategic goal of joining international security organizations, contributing to peace, security, and regional stability.
