U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance took part in an intensive 90-minute training session with Navy SEALs on a California beach on Monday, as part of his visit to a military base.

The training session, held at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, included running on sand, rope climbing, and dragging heavy logs—activities that are a core part of the elite unit’s physical training. Vance, a Marine Corps veteran, said the soldiers were careful not to push him too hard, but the experience was still extremely exhausting.

In a post on his personal X account, he wrote: “Just finished a 90-minute workout with the Navy SEALs. They took it easy on me, but I still feel like I was hit by a train.”

In the same post, the vice president expressed his gratitude to the U.S. Armed Forces, stating: “I am incredibly grateful to all our warriors who keep us safe and uphold the highest standards around the world.”
