US Vice President JD Vance, who played a role in negotiations leading to the ceasefire with Iran, described the agreement as “fragile” and noted mixed reactions within the Iranian government.

He said Iran’s foreign minister responded positively, while others misrepresented what the United States had achieved militarily and the terms of the ceasefire.

Vance added that if Iran engages in good faith, a final agreement could be reached. He also emphasized that President Donald Trump has ordered a temporary pause in the use of certain military, diplomatic, and economic tools, but these options remain available if negotiations fail.

“The US President is not someone you can play with,” Vance said, stressing Trump’s determination to make progress.
