Jill Biden, the first lady of the United States, and her predecessor, Melania Trump, spoke on Sunday afternoon after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
The first ladies’ call followed a phone call Saturday night between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, The Guardian reports.
“Last night I spoke with Donald Trump,” Biden said at a White House press conference on Sunday.
Biden emphasized that the conversation was short.
“Jill and I are keeping him and his family in our prayers.”
